Marketing in Small Ways Every Day

One of my favorite marketing experts is Karin Witzig-Rozell, the Marketing Materials Maven. Karin really helped me overcome my overwhelm in the area of marketing and now I actually see it as fun and challenging. Today I’d like to share one of Karin’s tips that has been valuable for me.

Each day, decide on just one action that will help you to market your business. Here are just a few suggestions:

  • Submit your contact information to an online directory.
  • Send out an email or make a phone call to a doctor or other professional you would like to introduce your services to.
  • Work on the copy for your website.
  • Write an article or blog entry.
  • Change your voicemail message.
  • Take the article or blog entry you created and submit it to a local publication or an online article site such as Ezine Articles.
  • Attend a networking lunch.
  • Send a birthday card to a past client or her baby.
  • Create an “elevator speech”.
  • Set up a speaking arrangement.
  • Get a booth at a baby fair.
  • Add your website to your email signature.

Just one marketing action each day will add up to a LOT of marketing over time. It allows you to consistently put your name and services out there, and once you’ve done your marketing task you can move on to other business.

I’d love to hear what others do to market themselves, so send me an email or leave a comment below.
